Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elliott Sanchez (ranked 5677 p4p, 5055 weight class) and Johagum Visagie (ranked 515 p4p, 495 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by I am the hype. Johagum Visagie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elliott Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johagum Visagie! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Visagie tries to counter by closing the distance. Visagie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Visagie swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sanchez is looking to clinch but Visagie is avoiding it.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt and Visagie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elliott Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Visagie prevents Sanchez from breaking the clinch. Sanchez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Visagie is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sanchez to the mat. Sanchez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Visagie sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez is trying to keep Visagie in close.
Visagie advances position into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Visagie controlling the position from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Visagie has knee on belly and moves into mount. Sanchez is in a horrible position here. Visagie smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Visagie controlling the position easily from mount. Visagie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Sanchez tries to hold on but Visagie postures up. Visagie controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Visagie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Sanchez turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Visagie off and cradles Sanchez's limp body as Visagie celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Johagum Visagie! Elliott Sanchez was interviewed post fight and said 'Erm what the sigma'.
