Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marleto Linares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Tung!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Linares clinches up against the cage.
Linares lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Bob Tung has been cut.
Linares lands an uppercut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Nice elbow from Linares.
Tung is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Linares gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Linares has Tung pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Linares pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tung tumbling to the mat - Linares dives into Tung's guard.
Linares stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tung swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tung is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Linares is aware though and is defending well.
Linares tries to free his leg and advance position but Tung is retaining full guard.

Linares avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Linares works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Linares wants to pass the guard but Tung is defending well.

Tung looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Linares working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Tung has hold of Linares's hands but Linares slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Tung is looking for a sweep. Linares is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Linares wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tung keeps working.
Linares looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Linares is looking for a kimura here.
Linares wants to take a breather but Tung is having none of it.
Linares wants to pass to mount but Tung is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tung looking for submissions off his back.
Tung looks winded!
Tung punching from the bottom.
Linares working the head and body with strikes.
Linares trying to control the action but Tung is working from the bottom.
Linares looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tung with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Linares is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tung defends it well.

Tung tries to get to full guard but Linares has control of the leg.

Linares controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Linares is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tung is just riding it out for now. Linares eventually gives up the hold.
Linares lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Linares lands with a punch from half guard.
Linares keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Linares wants to pass to mount but Tung is defending the position.
Linares is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Tung looking for submissions off his back.
Tung is trying to control but can't.
Linares is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Linares winds up and cracks Tung with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Linares has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Linares with a couple of short strikes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Marleto Linares dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bob Tung's cut.

Linares fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tung sprawls well initially but Linares persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Linares is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Tung looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Tung is trying to get back to full guard.
Marleto Linares overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tung trying to control here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Linares wants to work for an arm triangle but Tung is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tung is breathing heavily.
Tung is in trouble now - Linares has advanced to mount!

Linares moves to the back.

Linares is persistently looking for the submission but Tung is defending it well.
