Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Agbay Amiga (ranked 23618 p4p, 23897 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 58 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agbay Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 43 - 56 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga gets caught napping as Salvacion dives in and scores a takedown. Amiga manages to retain guard. Amiga is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Salvacion content to stall in guard here. Amiga seems keen to control Salvacion's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga wants to sweep but no luck.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Salvacion postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Amiga shoots in for a double leg but Salvacion sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick.

It looks like Salvacion might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Salvacion is looking to work some ground and pound but Amiga has wrist control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga is pulling down on Salvacion's head. It's preventing any offense from Salvacion, at least for the moment. Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amiga looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Salvacion counters with a body kick.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Salvacion is taking a breather. Amiga says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Amiga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to avoid it but Amiga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salvacion to the ground.  That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Salvacion content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Amiga trying to hold on to Salvacion's head to control him but Salvacion postures up.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's going to take a lot out of Helen Salvacion.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Helen Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Amiga drives through with a takedown into guard. Amiga is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Salvacion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
