Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alamain Jones (ranked 4151 p4p, 4194 weight class) and Manno Kopitar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopitar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kopitar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kopitar pinned against the cage. Kopitar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones darts in and clinches Kopitar up against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kopitar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kopitar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Kopitar, which made it look bad.

Jones gets control of Kopitar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alamain Jones.
Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
