Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Icke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Noriega! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Icke misses with a looping left. Icke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Noriega moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Icke scores with a jab to the head.
Icke misses with an uppercut. Noriega saw that one coming. Jab, jab by Icke - just one landing. Icke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Noriega swings for the body but Icke moves out of range.
Noriega fails with a takedown attempt. Icke lands with a shot to the body. Icke throws the left hand but Noriega avoids the punch easily. Noriega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noriega shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Icke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Icke lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Icke swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Noriega. Icke lands with a nice body punch. Icke gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Noriega to score an easy takedown into full guard. Noriega wants to control from the top but Icke keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Icke wants to stand up but Noriega is controlling him. Noriega stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Icke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Icke keeping moving, preventing Noriega from controlling successfully. Noriega throws a big right hand that misses. Noriega working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Icke wants to stand but Noriega is controlling the position. Icke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Noriega is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Icke dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Noriega is breathing heavily. A nice combination there by Icke.
It looks like Marco Noriega has been cut. Noriega has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. A big right from Icke misses.

David Icke is winning the standup battle so far. Icke moves out of range as Noriega strikes. Icke misses with a double jab.
Noriega fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Icke lands with a cross. Icke getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Noriega takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Icke scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Noriega takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Icke scores with the left hand. Noriega knows he should have avoided that one. Icke works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Icke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Noriega can do to turn this around? Icke connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Noriega's hands. Noriega takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Icke, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Icke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Noriega looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Icke lands an overhand right. Icke stalks Noriega and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Noriega's face. Noriega staggers backwards, shaken. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! David Icke showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Icke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
