Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Jones (ranked 4156 p4p, 4041 weight class) and Ryota Fukado (ranked 0 p4p, 432 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukado listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Jones dives in and scores a takedown into Fukado's guard.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fukado works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fukado is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fukado stops Jones from standing up.

Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Fukado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fukado wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
Fukado seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fukado drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fukado in particular looking to stall.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Fukado is very close to passing his half guard.

Fukado seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Jones throws a strike from the bottom but Fukado passes into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fukado cracks Jones with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Jones prevents Fukado from moving into mount.
Jones is looking for a sweep.
Fukado looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Jones is avoiding damage well.
Fukado lands a nice forearm strike.
Fukado throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Fukado scores with a couple of short elbows.
Fukado trying to control the position but Jones is working away.

Fukado in side control, throwing shots but Jones defends.
Fukado lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Fukado wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Jones throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Fukado is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jones looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fukado gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jones is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fukado lets go of the hold and Jones can pop his arm back in it's socket.
