Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Prince Vegeta (ranked 4218 p4p, 25423 weight class) and Mason Hawkins Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins Jr comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It’s Not Unsual kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mason Hawkins Jr!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Hawkins Jr.
Hawkins Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vegeta is trying to control Hawkins Jr's posture but Hawkins Jr avoids it.
Vegeta manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hawkins Jr's best efforts.
Vegeta tries to get to full guard but Hawkins Jr has control of the leg.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vegeta is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hawkins Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vegeta.

Vegeta wants to finish this one by submission but Hawkins Jr is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vegeta.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vegeta looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Hawkins Jr covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

After the fight, Prince Vegeta was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
