This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 41 losses; Olaf Snowstrinski! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 28 wins and 11 losses; Chad Strdoza! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Snowstrinski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Snowstrinski (4) vs (0) Strdoza We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Snowstrinski controls the position from side control. Strdoza manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Snowstrinski is taking a breather. Strdoza says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Strdoza is trying is best to control the position here. That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Snowstrinski is looking to take a break and control but Strdoza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Strdoza wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Strdoza is not content to let Snowstrinski control the position. Strdoza makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Strdoza. Snowstrinski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Strdoza manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Snowstrinski has Strdoza in his guard. Good work. Strdoza looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Strdoza has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Snowstrinski should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Strdoza has tightened it up now! Snowstrinski should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
