Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Leonard (ranked 3584 p4p, 4925 weight class) and Alexander Montegriffo (ranked 397 p4p, 478 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alexander Montegriffo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montegriffo throws a nice looking combination but Leonard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Montegriffo misses with a body kick.

A quick step to the side and Leonard tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Leonard seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Montegriffo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Montegriffo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leonard throwing a counter right hand but Montegriffo manages to avoid it.
Leonard takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nice shot lands for Montegriffo.
Leonard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Montegriffo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Leonard scrambles back to his feet.
Leonard is breathing heavily.

Leonard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Montegriffo finds it's way round the side to connect with Leonard's head.
Montegriffo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leonard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alexander Montegriffo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Montegriffo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Leonard! Montegriffo lets Leonard back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Leonard backs away from a small jab... but Montegriffo lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Leonard crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Montegriffo with a spectacular finish!
