And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands a front kick.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Heath slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Heath looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jones staying out of range there.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Heath takes a jab right on the kisser.
Heath misses with a lunging right hand
and Heath takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones tries to bum rush Heath with a series of wild strikes but Heath uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Heath fails to land with a series of punches.
Heath lands a two punch combo.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Heath circles away quickly and effectively.
Jones avoids the head kick by Heath.
An attempted straight right counter from Jones misses the target.

Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Heath throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Heath misses with a wild combination.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Heath, as that shot connected.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Heath throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off.
Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Leon Heath seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Heath to score with a decent uppercut.
Heath takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Heath in a clinch.

Jones has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Heath after a bit of a struggle.

Heath cracks Jones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Heath's guard.

Heath manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Heath is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?

Jones shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Heath is on queer street and Jones is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
