Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JJ King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duck Silva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
Silva avoids a kick to the body.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. King tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag King to the ground. King escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
JJ King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duck Silva.

and King counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Silva tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

King fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Silva dives in for a single leg takedown but King sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

King postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
King winds up and cracks Silva with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

King is working for a submission of some sort.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. King lands a nice short elbow.
Silva has hold of King's hands but King slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Silva is rocked!
King is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Silva is still in real trouble! Can King finish him?

King is looking for a kimura here.
Silva wants to improve his position but King is controlling well.
King is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. King connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.
King landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
King is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Silva works his way to full guard. Good work.

Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.

King is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at New York Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Silva looking to sit in guard and control but King gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Silva is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.
King working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Silva is trying to control the position but King postures up.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

King is posturing up here but Silva has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! King tries to roll out but it's too tight and King has to tap! Slick submission there by Silva!
