Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caghan White (ranked 25697 p4p, 25346 weight class) and Bobby Backland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into the arena with Plevne Marşı blaring out of the sound system. Bobby Backland will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caghan White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Backland! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Backland sprawls well initially but White persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Backland is looking to get back to is feet but White passes into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Backland wants to get back to his feet but White drags him back down. Backland is not content to let White control the position. You can see the frustration on Backland's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Backland is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Backland struggling a bit here. White stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Backland throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and White counters with a single leg into guard. Backland didn't expect that. White wants to pass the guard but Backland is keeping the position. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Backland is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Backland wants to counter the offense by White and move into the clinch position. Backland tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but White defends well and Backland ends up having to push White into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. As Backland tries to get set, White tries to push him back and clinch up but Backland manages to avoid the attempt. A head kick by White misses and Backland counters with a three punch combo that has White backing up. White nods at Backland to acknowledge the strikes. White moves into the clinch. White is breathing heavily. White has picked Backland up - he's going for a ride! White dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. White stops Backland from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are battling for position here. Backland manages to regain full guard. Nice work. White is fighting to break Backland's control of his arms but Backland is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. White trying to control but Backland is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Backland has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Backland's legs - danger averted. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Backland is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Backland pulls White in close to prevent any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Backland trying to control the position.
Backland is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. White is aware though and is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Caghan White will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
White shoots in and bounces Backland off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Backland keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Backland wants to sweep but no luck. That's two minutes gone in the round. White stands up and we're back to a striking position. Backland closes the distance and clinches up with White, looking for a takedown. Backland pushes White against the cage but White circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice sprawl there from White as Backland shoots in. White stuffs the takedown. Caghan White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Backland. White drives through with a takedown into Backland's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Backland is wriggling around but White manages to pass to half guard.
Backland is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

White is trying to get back to his feet but Backland has full control of the position and if anything, White has just worked his way into a worse spot. Backland trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Backland has both hooks in and is working for a choke. White is in real trouble here. Backland gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, White is tapping out! Backland wins by rear naked choke!
