Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Todd Savage (ranked 4375 p4p, 4161 weight class) and Ronin Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronin Davis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Savage has managed to clinch.
Savage misses with a punch on the inside.
Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Savage smiles and moves away.
Todd Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronin Davis.

Davis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Savage has one foot on Davis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Savage tries to counter by clinching up but Davis breaks away and moves out of range.

Davis throws a strike but Savage rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Davis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Davis is trying desperately to improve position.

Davis is looking to get to half guard.
Davis tries to lock up and control but Savage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Savage lands a heavy elbow.
Savage tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Savage is landing with some decent strikes but Davis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Savage looking to control and managing it successfully.
Savage has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Still in half guard, Savage seems content to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Davis shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Savage tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Davis manages to circle out of the way.

Davis goes for a double leg but Savage avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Savage continues to drive forward.

Savage is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Davis can do to turn this around?
Davis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savage has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Davis uses from the top position.

Savage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Savage is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Savage.
Davis wants to control but Savage is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Savage is taking a breather. Davis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Davis walks into a left hand.
Savage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Savage lands with a hook. Davis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Savage is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davis.
Savage lands a nice hook to Davis's body. Davis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Savage sends Davis crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Savage is motioning to the referee to let Davis up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Davis is rocked!

It looks like Ronin Davis has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown attempt by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage, which made it look bad.
Davis is still on wobbly legs! Can Savage finish him?

Savage is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Davis flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Davis is out cold! Savage holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
