Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Plier (ranked 25715 p4p, 4158 weight class) and Jaden Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 394 weight class). Peter Plier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Plier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaden Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Plier shows good takedown defense.
Jackson misses with a takedown
and Plier counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Plier as he jumps to the side.
Peter Plier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaden Jackson.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Plier counters with a stiff right hand.
Plier shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Plier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plier's waist but Plier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.

Plier gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Jackson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Plier gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jackson successfully pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.

Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Plier working a defensive guard but Jackson manages to pass into side control anyway.

Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Plier is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plier tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jackson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jackson takes the fight into the clinch.

Plier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Plier!
Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson shoots and misses

and Plier counters by moving into the clinch.
Plier avoiding damage.
Plier drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Plier counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jackson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Plier backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Plier manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It looked like Plier was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jackson.
Jackson looks winded!
Plier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Plier takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jackson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Plier will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Jackson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Plier counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Jackson! This one is all over!
