Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Finley Costa (ranked 1868 p4p, 2058 weight class) and Aoatea Nuku (ranked 231 p4p, 250 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nuku ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

It looked like Costa was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Nuku throws out a powerful jab.
Nuku takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Costa throws a low kick but Nuku moves out of range easily.

Costa feints and then cracks Nuku's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nuku down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nuku has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Finley Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Costa throws a shot from downtown. Nuku moves away and avoids it.
Nuku scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Nuku fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Costa is out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Oh Costa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nuku lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
