Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeMarcus Slice (ranked 5304 p4p, 25370 weight class) and Ayden Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeMarcus Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ayden Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slice closes the distance and clinches.
Slice stalling in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Slice.
Slice wants a takedown but no success here.
Lopez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Slice drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lopez gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Slice manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lopez being controlled here momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slice wants to sweep but no luck.
Lopez controlling from the top position.

Slice is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lopez defends well.
Slice keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully.
Slice is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Slice lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Slice passes Lopez's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Well, if Slice is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.
Lopez wants to control but Slice is keeping busy.

Slice is working for a kimura but Lopez is defending it quite comfortably.
Lopez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lopez trying to get back to full guard but Slice takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Lopez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Slice thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Slice controlling the pace for now.
Slice seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lopez for as long as he can get away with.
Slice continues to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Slice looking to ground and pound but Lopez is blocking nicely.
Slice controlling the position easily from mount.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Slice punishes Lopez's body with a nice straight punch.
A left lands for Slice.

Lopez tries to keep at a distance but Slice has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lopez is trying to stall.
Lopez seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.
Lopez tries to circle away but Slice has him pinned against the cage.

Slice is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
More hug and hope from Slice.

Slice looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lopez is one step ahead there.
Lopez wants to control from the top but Slice keeps moving.
Lopez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lopez looking to sit in guard and control but Slice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Slice's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Slice throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Slice stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lopez throws a sloppy head kick and Slice moves out of range easily.
DeMarcus Slice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lopez gets tackled into the cage by Slice. Slice maintains the clinch.

Slice gets control of Lopez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Slice will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Slice pulls Lopez in close to his closed guard and prevents Lopez from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lopez looking to sit in guard and control but Slice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lopez is breathing heavily.

Slice is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Slice passes into half guard.
Slice is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slice thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lopez's head.
Slice passes into side control, despite Lopez's attempt to control the position.

Slice stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Slice looks for the body kick but Lopez saw that one coming.

Lopez gets tackled into the cage by Slice. Slice maintains the clinch.
Slice is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Lopez using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Slice has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Slice drags the fight down to the ground.
Slice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Slice has control of Lopez's left arm, preventing Lopez from doing any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

DeMarcus Slice dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Slice fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lopez manages to avoid it.
Lopez stuffs the takedown.
Lopez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Slice drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lopez sprawls and moves away.
Slice fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lopez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slice.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeMarcus Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lopez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slice pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slice is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lopez can do to turn this around?

Slice shoots in for a takedown but Lopez shows good takedown defense.
A nice side step and Lopez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Lopez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Lopez looks to land a combination but Slice avoids it well.
Lopez connects with a body shot.
Slice has a takedown stuffed.
Lopez misses with a wild body shot.
A big right from Lopez misses.
Slice shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lopez pinned against the cage. Lopez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters circling a little - Lopez finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Slice moves out of range of the body kick.
Slice drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lopez sprawls and moves away.
Slice shoots in but no luck this time.
Lopez raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Lopez throws out a loose jab but Slice uses good head movement to avoid it.
Slice displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lopez throws out the jab.
Lopez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slice.

Slice clinches up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slice wants to break free but Lopez has control.
Lopez is trying to force a seperation but Slice has the dominant position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Slice - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lopez misses with a body punch.
Slice wants a takedown.
Lopez misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Slice tries to land knees in the clinch but Lopez avoids the damage to the body.
Lopez tries to work over Slice's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Slice stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lopez is trying to stall.
Lopez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Slice is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lopez is defending well for now.

Slice pulls guard successfully.
Slice is pulling down on Lopez's head to control his posture.
Slice bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lopez's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Slice slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lopez is trying to escape the position but Slice is controlling the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ayden Lopez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Slice has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
