Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Groucho Marks (ranked 4112 p4p, 4014 weight class) and Emmanuel Pape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Groucho Marks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Emmanuel Pape!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks shoots in for a takedown but Pape shows good takedown defense.
Pape jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pape misses with a series of wild punches.
Marks takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Marks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pape finds it's way round the side to connect with Marks's head.
Marks wants to clinch up but Pape keeps it at a distance.
Marks slips a jab and a cross from Pape.
Marks scores with a sloppy right hand. Pape should have avoided that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marks takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Pape lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Marks throws a right and a left that Pape avoids nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Pape, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pape swats away the attempt to clinch by Marks.

Marks wants to clinch up but Pape keeps it at a distance.
Marks on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Marks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pape paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Danga de danga de dang - Pape scores with a four punch combination!
Pape avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marks throws a head kick but Pape moves out of range.
Pape stuffs the takedown attempt from Marks. Marks gets slowly back to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Pape on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Pape looks to land a combination. Marks sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Marks walks into a left hand.

Pape digs a good hook to Marks's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pape scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Marks just misses with a punch to the body.
Marks on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Pape catches Marks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Marks finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pape throws out a counter right but Marks avoids it with no problem.
Marks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Marks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pape.
Nice jab there from Pape.
Pape digs a good body shot into Marks's ribs.

Pape connects with a right hand. Marks shakes it off.
Pape getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Pape displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Pape is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Marks had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Pape avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pape thuds his right hand into Marks's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pape connects with a jab.
Pape moves into range and connects with a jab.
Pape might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Marks gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pape.
Marks takes one to the chin there.
