Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikuru Asakura (ranked 3112 p4p, 3587 weight class) and Trevin Prince (ranked 242 p4p, 271 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikuru Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trevin Prince!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prince throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Asakura's waist but Asakura gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prince off to one side.
Asakura throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Prince's head.
Asakura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Asakura scores with a kick to the body.
Asakura lands with a cross.

Prince closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Asakura wants to break the clinch but can't.
Asakura is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Asakura prevents the takedown attempt.
Asakura stops a takedown attempt from Prince.
Mikuru Asakura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevin Prince.

Prince manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asakura would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Prince is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Asakura wants to stand but Prince is controlling his posture from full guard.

Asakura stands up and waves to Prince to follow him.
Prince takes one to the chin there.
Asakura throws a series of punches but Prince avoids them all with ease.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Prince! But no joy.
Prince drops his hands momentarily and Asakura takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Both fighters circling a little - Asakura finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Asakura.
Prince takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Prince's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Asakura connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Prince scrambles back to his feet.

Prince looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Asakura!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Prince happy to just control the position for now.
Prince wants to lay and pray for a moment but Asakura keeps working.
Prince is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Prince tries to advance to mount but Asakura denies him.
Asakura is trying to control Prince's posture but Prince avoids it.
Asakura is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Prince has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Prince is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Asakura's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Asakura tries to bench press Prince off him but Prince keeps the position.
Prince tries to advance to mount but Asakura denies him.
Prince tries to score with some ground and pound. Asakura controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Prince taking a breather here.
Asakura taking a bit of punishment here - Prince scoring with strikes.
The referee asks Prince politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Prince prefers to stall for the moment though.
Asakura wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Asakura is letting Prince control him for a moment.
Asakura wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The ground and pound from Prince seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Asakura trying to remain calm as Prince controls from the top position.
Prince connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Asakura some visible discomfort.
Prince tries to advance to mount but can't.
Asakura is looking for a sweep.
Asakura struggling a bit here.
Asakura is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Prince thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Prince is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Prince has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Asakura is looking to control Prince's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Asakura avoid being mounted?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mikuru Asakura dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Asakura misses with the combination.
Prince is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Prince gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Asakura counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice uppercut there from Asakura.
Prince takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Asakura lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Asakura throws a wild body kick that Prince sees coming a mile off.
Prince changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Prince holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Asakura is trying to push Prince away but Prince has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Asakura is trying to break the clinch but Prince is controlling him.
Asakura gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Prince.

Prince digs a right hand into Asakura's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Asakura's gas tank.
Asakura is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Prince is defending well.
Prince tries for a takedown but Asakura manages to get underhooks.

Prince is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Prince has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Asakura after a bit of a struggle.
Asakura tries to circle away but Prince has him pinned against the cage.
Asakura wants to get back to striking at distance but Prince won't allow it.
Asakura tries to score a body lock takedown but Prince shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Prince drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Asakura wants to stall.
Prince wants a takedown but no success here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Prince has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Asakura is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Prince keeps control of Asakura as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Asakura is pressed up against the cage. Prince has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Asakura down to the mat. Asakura avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Prince is breathing heavily.
Asakura moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mikuru Asakura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Prince walks into a stiff left hand from Asakura.
Asakura lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Asakura connects with a good right hand that stumbles Prince. Prince circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Donk. Asakura catches Prince right on the button with a cross.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Prince crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Asakura - the referee stops the clock and Prince gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Asakura. Prince manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Prince is rocked!
Asakura circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Prince to the canvas! Prince doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Asakura keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikuru Asakura!
An out of breath Mikuru Asakura thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
