The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker throws a hook but Woods blocks it.
A nice side step and Woods releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Whitaker misses with a hook. Woods ducked under it nicely.
A swing and a miss from Whitaker.
Whitaker blocks a jab.
Whitaker slips under a jab.
Whitaker throws a lazy right hand but Woods sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Whitaker. Woods does a little dance to reset his feet.
Woods looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Woods smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Whitaker cracks Woods with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Woods looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Whitaker finish him?

It looks like Bert Woods has been cut.
Woods should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Whitaker drops Woods with a big left hand! Woods is injured, injured bad! Whitaker jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
