Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edward Wojciechowski (ranked 4514 p4p, 5764 weight class) and Abram Frost (ranked 430 p4p, 482 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Wojciechowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Abram Frost! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Frost 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wojciechowski lands with an uppercut that bounces Frost off the cage and back into range. Frost looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Frost ducks under a wild hook from Wojciechowski. Frost tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A low kick from Wojciechowski is predictable there and Frost counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wojciechowski won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A lull in the action here as Frost stalls from top position. Frost throws an elbow but Wojciechowski slips to the side and avoids it well. Frost is trying to get an arm triangle but Wojciechowski is defending well. Wojciechowski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Frost prevents Wojciechowski from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wojciechowski is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Wojciechowski looking for submissions off his back. Frost trying to control from half guard but Wojciechowski is working away. Wojciechowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frost is working away from the top position though. Frost trying to mount his opponent but Wojciechowski defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Frost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wojciechowski keeps working. Frost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wojciechowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Frost might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wojciechowski haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Wojciechowski is looking to control Frost's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wojciechowski avoid being mounted? It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Wojciechowski tries to roll over but Frost keeps him under control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Frost's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wojciechowski connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Frost scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost blocks a low kick nicely. Frost feints the counter takedown. Nice shot by Wojciechowski. Wojciechowski scores with a jab to the head.
Frost keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wojciechowski. Frost changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Wojciechowski thows a leg kick but Frost checks it and Frost counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Wojciechowski! Frost decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wojciechowski to his feet. Frost uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wojciechowski. And Frost tries to counter it with a takedown but Wojciechowski pushes his down on his head and steps out. Wojciechowski tests Frost's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wojciechowski throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wojciechowski throws a nice outside leg kick. Wojciechowski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Edward Wojciechowski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wojciechowski scores with a hook to the body. Frost takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Wojciechowski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frost stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Wojciechowski connects with a solid leg kick. Wojciechowski jabs Frost to the body, keeping him at a distance. Wojciechowski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wojciechowski throws a leg kick and Frost counters with a single leg into guard. Wojciechowski didn't expect that. Wojciechowski working a defensive guard here.
Frost missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edward Wojciechowski will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Frost gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Frost tries to move into range but Wojciechowski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wojciechowski works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wojciechowski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Frost has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Frost and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Abram Frost is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wojciechowski rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Frost counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Frost tries to pass to full mount but Wojciechowski defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wojciechowski trying to control from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Frost lands strikes from half guard. Frost wants to take a breather but Wojciechowski is having none of it. Wojciechowski has his hands clasped together around Frost's back. He's all about the action. Frost is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wojciechowski defends it well. Frost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wojciechowski keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wojciechowski manages to get to full guard.

Wojciechowski keeping moving, preventing Frost from controlling successfully. Frost looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wojciechowski seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frost can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wojciechowski keeping moving, preventing Frost from controlling successfully. Wojciechowski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Frost controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wojciechowski is looking to cinch up a triangle. Frost throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Wojciechowski's body to avoid the submission. Wojciechowski has instead reached around Frost's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wojciechowski arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Edward Wojciechowski really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that BANZAI NUTRITION logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
