Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pyotr Petrov (ranked 819 p4p, 1060 weight class) and Pultti Pyssy (ranked 91 p4p, 117 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pyotr Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pultti Pyssy! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pyssy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrov manages to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Petrov misses the target. Petrov misses with a wild body shot. Pyssy lands an overhand right. A left lands for Pyssy. Pyssy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A little jabbing left from Pyssy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Petrov missing with a left hand there. Pyssy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pyssy thuds his right hand into Petrov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Petrov misses with a straight right. Pyssy has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Petrov is landing a low percentage of strikes. Petrov slips a straight right by Pyssy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pyssy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been told by Petrov's head coaches at GWad's Playpen that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Petrov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Nice uppercut lands for Pyssy. That snapped Petrov's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pyssy. Petrov does a little dance to reset his feet. Pyssy throws a poor cross that misses
and Petrov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pyssy looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrov is just out of range. Pyssy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrov moves away. Pyssy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A jab lands there for Pyssy. Pyssy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pyssy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Pyssy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Petrov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Petrov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrov misses with an uppercut. Pyssy saw that one coming. Pyssy digs a good hook to Petrov's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pyssy ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pyssy lands a right hook to the body.
Petrov throws a shot from downtown. Pyssy moves away and avoids it. Pyssy throws a jab when Petrov was well out of range. Petrov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pyssy misses with a hook. Petrov ducked under it nicely. Sloppy strikes from Pyssy. Those never looked like landing. Petrov missing with a left hand there. Pultti Pyssy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pyssy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrov manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Pyssy. Petrov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Pyssy. That one must have hurt. Petrov moves away from the strike by Pyssy. Pyssy scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Petrov throws a shot from downtown. Pyssy moves away and avoids it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pyssy! But no joy. Petrov avoids the head kick by Pyssy.
It looked like Petrov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Pyssy tries to land a front kick but Petrov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Petrov is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Pyssy with a body punch. A glancing blow. Petrov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pyssy misses with a right hand and Petrov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Petrov jabs Pyssy right on the nose. Pyssy blinks but takes it well. Petrov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pyssy throws a body punch but Petrov moves out of range. Petrov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Pyssy misses with a body kick. Petrov clobbers Pyssy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pyssy misses with a looping right. Pyssy throws a hook to the side of Petrov's head but Petrov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A looping hook to the body misses from Petrov. Pyssy does a little dance to reset his feet. Pyssy only half commits to the counter leg kick. Petrov misses with a body shot.
Pyssy looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrov is just out of range. A little feinted left hand from Petrov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Petrov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd cheers as Pyssy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Petrov doesn't seem phased though. Pyssy swings for the body but Petrov moves out of range.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pultti Pyssy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Pyssy connects with an inside leg kick. Pyssy with a hook. Pyssy misses with a wild body shot. Petrov appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Petrov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Pyssy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Pultti Pyssy seems to be getting the better of the standup. A cross from Pyssy lands. Petrov throws a body punch but Pyssy moves out of range. Petrov loads up on a big right hand but Pyssy slips the punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pyssy. An attempted straight right counter from Petrov misses the target. Pyssy avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Petrov defending well as Pyssy loads up on a big left hand. Pyssy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pyssy cracks Petrov with an open hand slap. Petrov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Pyssy gets off balance looking for a body kick and Petrov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Petrov scores with a shot to the body.

Pyssy scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Pyssy. Pyssy cracks Petrov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A cross from Pyssy lands. Petrov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pyssy. Petrov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Petrov is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pyssy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Oh Petrov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyssy lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Petrov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Pyssy dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pultti Pyssy! Pultti Pyssy was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
