Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jaylen Stout! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dragon Kingdad! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stout wants to clinch up but Kingdad keeps it at a distance. Stout blocks a head kick by Kingdad.
Stout definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kingdad circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kingdad throws out a counter right but Stout avoids it with no problem. Stout fails in his attempt to clinch. Kingdad throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Stout gets a clinch. Stout ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stout no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Stout is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kingdad defends well. Stout throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stout looking for a triangle here. Kingdad is fighting it but it looks tight! Stout pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kingdad is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jaylen Stout! Jaylen Stout retains his featherweight title! A relieved looking Jaylen Stout thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
