Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Peramaki (ranked 1120 p4p, 4847 weight class) and Diego Hageman (ranked 132 p4p, 426 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimmo Peramaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Hageman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hageman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peramaki as he avoids it easily.
Peramaki throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Diego Hageman has been cut.
Hageman fails with a takedown attempt.
Hageman shoots in for a takedown but Peramaki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kimmo Peramaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Hageman.

A jab-cross combination lands for Peramaki and sends Hageman crashing to the mat! Peramaki follows him down to the mat - Hageman regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Hageman is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Peramaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hageman keeps working.
Peramaki thows a huge punch but Hageman dodges it nicely.

Peramaki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hageman is just riding it out for now. Peramaki eventually gives up the hold.

Peramaki has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Peramaki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Peramaki is looking to advance position but Hageman won't allow it.
Hageman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We've been hearing good reports from Peramaki's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hageman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peramaki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Peramaki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hageman is just riding it out for now. Peramaki eventually gives up the hold.

Peramaki moves into full mount! Hageman won't be happy about that!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Peramaki sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Peramaki throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Peramaki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hageman has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Hageman looks winded!

Peramaki is working for a rear naked choke. Hageman is not defending it well and Peramaki has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hageman refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hageman's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kimmo Peramaki!
