The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrow drops his hands momentarily and Derek takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Derek listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Derek stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Derek throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A looping hook to the body misses from Morrow. Derek does a little dance to reset his feet.
Derek pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Derek lands a jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Derek definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Morrow lands with a left to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morrow tries to work over Derek's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Derek.
Morrow pushes Derek back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Nice body punch from Morrow - that landed with a thud.
Derek blocking some punches.
Morrow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Derek is trying to stall.
Morrow throws a punch but it's blocked by Derek.
Morrow stalling the fight.

Morrow taking a breather.
The crowd are getting on Morrow's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

A bit of stalling here from Morrow.
Derek blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Derek manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Morrow.
Morrow tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Come on Morrow - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Morrow content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Morrow receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ross Morrow.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Derek, as that shot connected.
Derek fakes the leg kick and cracks Morrow in the body.
Derek cracks Morrow with a good jab.
Rodney Derek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Derek thuds his shin into the meat of Morrow's side.

Morrow scores with a jab.
Morrow takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Derek lands with an uppercut that bounces Morrow off the cage and back into range.
Morrow thows a left - swing and a miss!
Morrow on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Morrow avoids the head kick by Derek.
Derek really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morrow tries to clinch but Derek moves out of range.
Morrow throws a body shot but no joy.
Derek was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Morrow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Morrow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Derek was well out of range. Poor timing from Morrow.
Derek throws a counter high kick but Morrow was just alert enough to avoid it.
Derek throws a head kick that misses.
Morrow misses the shot to the body.

Derek lands a big head kick that sends Morrow tumbling to the mat! Derek takes a step backwards and waves Morrow back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Morrow is rocked!
Morrow walks straight into a right hand from Derek - that's dropped him! Derek jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Morrow from any more punishment! Morrow complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
