Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Morah (ranked 5570 p4p, 5244 weight class) and Hudson Rush (ranked 352 p4p, 338 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rush.
Rush dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rush takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Morah misses with a head kick.

and Rush counters with a nice body shot.
Rush slips a jab and a cross from Morah.
Morah misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Morah throws a head kick but Rush moves out of range.
A little jabbing left from Rush on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Morah gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rush counters with a right hand to the body.
Rush punishes Morah's body with a nice straight punch.
Morah throws a combination that misses
and Rush counters with a stiff right hand.

Morah pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rush is out of range and Morah settles back down.
Morah avoids a punch combination nicely.
Good exchange - Rush coming out on top.

Rush clinches up with Morah and pushes him back against the cage.
Morah's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Rush presses Morah against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Rush lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Rush lands a body punch in the clinch.

Morah lands a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rush really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rush is not content to let Morah control the position.
Morah lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rush down.

Rush is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Morah wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rush keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonah Morah will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Rush scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Morah looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rush throws out a counter right but Morah avoids it with no problem.
Hudson Rush seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rush cracks Morah with a right hand to the side of the head.

Rush has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Rush counters with a nice uppercut.
We've been informed that Rush has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Morah misses with a body punch
and Rush counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Morah throws a leg kick but Rush checks it.

Rush has taken the fight to the clinch.

Morah manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rush wants to control from the top but Morah keeps moving.

Morah is looking for a triangle but Rush pushes his legs off easily.

Morah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rush can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rush throws an elbow that misses. Morah uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rush's guard. Nice move by Morah!

Morah lands a couple of elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Morah's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rush has momentary wrist control but Morah slips an elbow through the middle.
Morah is in close to Rush's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Morah with a flurry of punches that miss.
Morah throws a big right hand that misses.

Rush pushes Morah off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Morah takes one on the button.
Morah throws a sloppy head kick and Rush moves out of range easily.
Morah rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Rush to counter with a crisp jab.

Rush tries to keep at a distance but Morah has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rush digs a right hand into Morah's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Morah's gas tank.

Rush gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Morah.
Morah tries to pull guard but Rush holds him up against the cage and eventually Morah drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonah Morah. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rush prevents the takedown attempt.
Rush scores with a hook to the body.
Rush digs a right hand underneath Morah's ribcage. Morah let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Morah tries to pull guard but Rush forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Hudson Rush showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Morah walks into a left hand.
Rush digs a good hook to Morah's body.
Rush blocks a head kick by Morah.
Morah shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rush as he avoids it easily.

Rush closes the distance and pushes Morah back into the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rush wants to pass the guard but Morah is keeping the position.

Morah had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rush defends it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rush wants to stand but Morah is controlling his posture from full guard.
Rush looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Rush content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Morah has locked up a guillotine! Morah's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rush is holding on here and Morah must be using up a lot of energy. Rush has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Morah gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
