Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yao Ming (ranked 25412 p4p, 3873 weight class) and Geovanni Maldonado (ranked 548 p4p, 416 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yao Ming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Geovanni Maldonado!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Maldonado misses.
Maldonado throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maldonado throws the left hand but Ming avoids the punch easily.
Ming throws a counter high kick but Maldonado was just alert enough to avoid it.
Maldonado looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ming lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ming is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maldonado measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Ming! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

A relieved looking Geovanni Maldonado thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
