Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rogan Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Stein!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stein was well out of range. Poor timing from Ford.
Ford misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Stein to counter with a crisp jab.
Ford wants to clinch up but Stein keeps it at a distance.
Stein gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ford to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ford trying to control but Stein is working from the bottom.
Stein is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ford is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ford wants to control from the top but Stein keeps moving.
Ford sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Stein working for a triangle but Ford defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ford is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stein has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ford is looking to defend but Stein has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ford! Stein pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ford taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Franklin Stein!
During a confident post fight interview, Franklin Stein thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
