Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chokyi Tsering (ranked 4073 p4p, 5157 weight class) and Emerson Mccarty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Tsering, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tsering stuffs the takedown.
Tsering swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mccarty drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tsering defends it well.
The fighters circling - Tsering throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mccarty looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tsering shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mccarty eats them both and turns towards Tsering to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mccarty is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tsering.

Tsering is working an open guard so Mccarty takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Chokyi Tsering seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chokyi Tsering has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emerson Mccarty.

Mccarty has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tsering uses from the top position.

Mccarty pushes Tsering off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Tsering sneaks out the side door and pushes Mccarty away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tsering would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Tsering wants to stand and escape but instead Mccarty has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mccarty stands up and waves to Tsering to follow him.
Tsering looks to land a right hand but Mccarty moved out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mccarty changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chokyi Tsering will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccarty fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tsering sprawls well initially but Mccarty persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tsering kicks off Mccarty and gets to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tsering rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mccarty moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mccarty decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Tsering is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Mccarty just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Tsering has gone limp and this one is over!

Emerson Mccarty decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
