Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joani Carv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AW Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevens has chosen The Root Beer Song by Joeshmauer as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens misses with an uppercut.
Carv avoids the head kick by Stevens.
Stevens throws a big shot that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Carv shoots in and bounces Stevens off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stevens is on top in guard.

Stevens uses his free foot to push down on Carv's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Carv.

Stevens tries a head kick but it misses.

Carv shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stevens as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carv looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stevens slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stevens takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Stevens catches Carv napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Carv to the canvas!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stevens is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Carv seems to have got his legs back now.
Stevens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stevens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Stevens has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Carv displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stevens throws out the jab.

Carv wants to control the pace but Stevens is squirming around nicely.

Stevens is looking to take a break and control but Carv is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

AW Stevens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Carv's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
A jab lands there for Stevens.
Stevens works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Carv takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stevens drops Carv with a right and a left! Stevens comes rushing in but Carv regains his composure and manages to keep Stevens in guard.

Stevens decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Stevens scores with a jab. Carv acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stevens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Stevens drops Carv with a left and a right! Oh, Carv is hurt - Stevens dives into side control looking to finish!
