Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 23719 p4p, 23722 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 52 - 46 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 30 - 72 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Salvacion as he avoids it easily. Amiga has his takedown stuffed and Salvacion counters with a body kick. Amiga shoots in and drives through. Salvacion sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Salvacion is controlling Amiga's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Salvacion is looking to sweep but instead, Amiga has passed into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Amiga perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Salvacion is positioning himself well to prevent Amiga advancing to mount. Salvacion tries to roll over but Amiga keeps him under control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Salvacion tries to clinch but Amiga moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salvacion's waist but Salvacion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amiga off to one side. Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amiga circles away. Salvacion looking to score a takedown here. Amiga is defending well but Salvacion drives through and ends up in Amiga's guard. Amiga managing to control the position. Salvacion is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Amiga working a defensive guard here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga managing to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Clifford Val Salvacion will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Amiga fails with a takedown attempt. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick. Salvacion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Amiga is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Salvacion.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Amiga. Salvacion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salvacion wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well. Amiga shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Salvacion but Salvacion pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Amiga closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Salvacion quickly recovers to half guard. Amiga is taking a breather. Salvacion says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Salvacion holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga slows the pace down in half guard. Salvacion is holding on to half guard well. Salvacion trying to hold on to Amiga's head to control him but Amiga postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amiga sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amiga leaves Salvacion with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Amiga. Salvacion counters with a body kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kugus Amiga dominated that second round. That's time! Amiga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat. Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well. Amiga misses with a takedown attempt - Salvacion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Amiga's guard. Salvacion is standing up over Amiga. Amiga looks to escape but Salvacion dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. An elbow from Salvacion crashes against the mat.
Amiga is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Amiga is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Salvacion slows the pace down. Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Amiga avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Salvacion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Amiga's guard. Salvacion with a flurry of punches that miss. Amiga being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amiga is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

And that's the end of the fight! Clifford Val Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Salvacion has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
