Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23985 p4p, 23834 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 67 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 47 - 54 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Salvacion enables Amiga to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Salvacion manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to prevent any damage.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And Amiga counters with a quick kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Salvacion decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Salvacion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amiga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvacion somewhat.

Amiga shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Salvacion has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Amiga avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Tapad Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Salvacion.
Salvacion drops down looking for an ankle pick but Amiga pulls his leg out and moves away.
Amiga shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Amiga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
