Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Jones (ranked 2602 p4p, 2512 weight class) and Hrvoje Vinkovic (ranked 264 p4p, 260 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joshua Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hrvoje Vinkovic!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Vinkovic.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vinkovic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Jones half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jones attempts a counter takedown but Vinkovic avoids it well and moves away.
Vinkovic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vinkovic fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Vinkovic is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Jones's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Vinkovic is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Vinkovic gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Vinkovic gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Vinkovic apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Jones closes the distance and clinches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hrvoje Vinkovic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
