PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chief Walker (ranked 1690 p4p, 1311 weight class) and Yoji Anjo Anjo (ranked 228 p4p, 181 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Chief Walker has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chief Walker seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anjo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Walker throws a looping overhand right but Anjo ducks down to avoid it.
Anjo wants to counter the offense by Walker and move into the clinch position.
Walker misses with the combination.
Anjo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Walker lands a lovely overhand right.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Anjo slips a straight right by Walker.
Walker throws a right hand that misses
and Anjo counters with a right hand to the body.
Anjo shoots in but no luck this time.

Walker sets himself, and Anjo steps forward looking for the clinch! Walker avoids it this time.

Anjo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Anjo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Anjo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anjo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Walker tries to score a body lock takedown but Anjo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Anjo shoots in looking for a takedown but Walker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anjo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Walker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
