Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tahboule Alawi (ranked 1725 p4p, 1317 weight class) and Arthur Pugsley (ranked 149 p4p, 120 weight class). Alawi's entrance music is The Ruler of Everything. A fine choice. Arthur Pugsley has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tahboule Alawi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur Pugsley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pugsley moves into range and clinches up with Alawi.
Pugsley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Alawi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pugsley to the mat. Pugsley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Pugsley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alawi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alawi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pugsley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alawi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Alawi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pugsley is looking to escape.
Alawi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pugsley has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pugsley!
Alawi is trying to control the position but Pugsley postures up.
Pugsley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Alawi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pugsley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alawi's head.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pugsley working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Pugsley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alawi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pugsley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pugsley has control of Alawi's left arm, preventing Alawi from doing any damage.
Alawi wants to control from the top but Pugsley keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Pugsley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alawi did well to prevent Pugsley getting side control.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tahboule Alawi!
A relieved looking Tahboule Alawi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
