Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Dukes (ranked 3560 p4p, 3068 weight class) and Glenn Banks (ranked 426 p4p, 377 weight class). Glenn Banks has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Leroy Dukes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leroy Dukes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Glenn Banks! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes misses with a hook. Banks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Banks's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Banks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Banks is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Banks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Banks works over Dukes with some ground and pound from guard. Banks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Banks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dukes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dukes controls Banks momentarily but Banks frees himself. Banks preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banks is in close to Dukes's body, working some short punches and elbows. Banks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Banks is looking to work some ground and pound but Dukes has wrist control. Banks postures up and lands a big shot to Dukes's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dukes is breathing heavily. Banks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dukes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dukes tries to get out of the position. Banks with a nice head shot there. Banks wants to control from the top but Dukes keeps moving. Banks with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Banks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dukes's head. Banks scoring with punches to the head and body. Banks is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dukes is rocked! Dukes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Banks on the ground. Banks stands up over Dukes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Oh Dukes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Banks postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Dukes's head off the mat! Dukes is out! He's out! Banks jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Glenn Banks!
