Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaxon Williams (ranked 1392 p4p, 1366 weight class) and Katt Strypare (ranked 128 p4p, 124 weight class). Katt Strypare has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaxon Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Katt Strypare!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strypare avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Strypare circles away.
Williams has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Strypare finds it's way round the side to connect with Williams's head.
Good standup being displayed there by Strypare as he connects with a hook.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Strypare tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control.

Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Strypare can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Strypare seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Strypare drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Williams manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Strypare has Williams in his guard.

Strypare is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jaxon Williams will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Strypare jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Strypare darts in and clinches Williams up against the ropes.
Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strypare walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Williams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Williams is looking to clinch.
Williams tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Strypare manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Williams wants to clinch up but Strypare keeps it at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Strypare lands a hook to the side of the head.
Williams has been working on his balance at , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Strypare.
Strypare has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Williams is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Strypare has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Williams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Williams jumps guard but Strypare stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Strypare's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Strypare has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Williams arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Strypare's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jaxon Williams!
A very excited looking Jaxon Williams made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
