Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 38 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gyukosho Fujimoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Karel Sup!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujimoto takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Fujimoto is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sup is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fujimoto to the mat. Fujimoto regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fujimoto is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sup connects with a decent elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Sup might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Sup has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sup connects with a right hand. Fujimoto shakes it off.
Fujimoto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sup scores with a sloppy right hand. Fujimoto should have avoided that one.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fujimoto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sup on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sup keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fujimoto's head.

Sup gets to his feet and stands over Fujimoto, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Fujimoto felt that one! Sup unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Fujimoto from any more punishment!
