Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Qwerty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kai Smith!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qwerty lands with a right hand.
Qwerty lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smith misses with the combination.
Smith ducks right into an uppercut from Qwerty.
Qwerty uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Qwerty cracks Smith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Smith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Smith moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Qwerty lands with an uppercut that bounces Smith off the cage and back into range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Qwerty catches Smith with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.

and Smith counters by clinching up.

Smith blocks a body shot from Qwerty.
Qwerty swings wildly with an uppercut but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Qwerty goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Qwerty.
Smith misses with some punches.
Smith pushes Qwerty back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Qwerty tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Qwerty's elbow.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Qwerty misses with an uppercut
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smith misses with a hook

and Qwerty counters by moving into the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Qwerty lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith struggles to land a body shot inside as Qwerty controls his hands.

Smith prevents Qwerty from breaking the clinch.
Qwerty tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Qwerty back against the cage.
Smith throws a head punch that misses.
Qwerty misses with a hook to the ribs.
Smith blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Qwerty pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Qwerty lands a jab to the nose.
Phil Qwerty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Qwerty throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A punch combination from Qwerty misses.
Smith wants to counter with a clinch but Qwerty pushes him away.
Qwerty connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
We've been told by Qwerty's head coaches at Chiefs Fighting Inc. that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Smith throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Qwerty counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith misses with a straight right.
Qwerty feints a jab promting Smith to slip. Qwerty then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Smith slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Qwerty misses the jab.
Qwerty lands a two punch combo.
Qwerty throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Smith walks into a straight right hand from Qwerty.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Smith on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Qwerty uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Qwerty.
Qwerty lands with a good body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Qwerty cracks Smith with a good jab.
A right-left combo lands from Qwerty.
Qwerty throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Qwerty is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Qwerty takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smith scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

It looks like Phil Qwerty has been cut.
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Qwerty.
Qwerty throws a right and a left that both miss.
Qwerty gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Smith gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Qwerty is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kai Smith!
A very excited looking Kai Smith made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Phil Qwerty stepped up to the mic, saying 'God damn, its not good to take a fight when you have a hangover....'.
