Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boru Vedoy (ranked 4795 p4p, 4295 weight class) and Hosea Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hosea Jones will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones gets caught flat footed, as Vedoy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vedoy stops Jones from standing up.
Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Vedoy throws a big right hand that misses.
Vedoy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Vedoy lands a couple of elbows.
Vedoy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones looking to control.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vedoy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vedoy postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vedoy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vedoy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vedoy postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.

Vedoy drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Vedoy off! Vedoy jumps back into Jones's guard.
Vedoy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vedoy landing with the ground and pound.
Vedoy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jones being controlled here, momentarily.
Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Vedoy is looking to stand back up but Jones counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Vedoy.
Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Vedoy.

Vedoy manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Boru Vedoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Vedoy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Vedoy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.
Vedoy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Vedoy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vedoy holds on and takes a little breather.

Vedoy has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Vedoy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
