The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bates tries to sprawl but McWanker drives through with a takedown into half guard.
McWanker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

McWanker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bates sees it coming and defends easily.

McWanker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bates is just riding it out for now. McWanker eventually gives up the hold.

Bates got a little sloppy there for a moment and McWanker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bates has managed to get both his arms back between McWanker's legs - danger averted.

Oh but McWanker is tightening it up a little... Bates has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bates reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bates taps out! Nice BJJ there by McWanker!
