Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24002 p4p, 23952 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulata Bitok has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 39 - 60 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 35 - 64 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bitok shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buktot sprawls well. Buktot wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bitok gets slowly back to his feet. And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Bitok blocks it. Bitok misses with a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot dives in and scores a takedown into Bitok's guard. Buktot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bitok wants to sweep here but Buktot controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bitok wants to sweep but no luck. Buktot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bitok shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buktot as he jumps to the side. Buktot throws a counter high kick but Bitok was just alert enough to avoid it. Buktot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buktot wants it to stay on the feet. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bitok is fending him off so far but Buktot persists. Nope, Bitok circles away and we're back to standing. Buktot throws the kick towards the body but Bitok avoids it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buktot throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Buktot looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bitok is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitok keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bitok has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buktot is working away from the top position though. Bitok controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Buktot fails with a takedown attempt. Bitok fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Buktot avoids it really well and circles away.

Buktot feints and as Bitok raises his hands in defense, Buktot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bitok keeping moving, preventing Buktot from controlling successfully. Bitok looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Buktot's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok wants to sweep here but Buktot controlling him for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Bitok scores with a nice body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bitok fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot shoots for a takedown but Bitok saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Buktot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Bitok has a takedown stuffed. Bitok shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buktot manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot is pulling down on Bitok's head. It's preventing any offense from Bitok, at least for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot continues to stall. Bitok wants to control from the top but Buktot keeps moving. Buktot looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bitok sitting in guard, not really doing much. Buktot has his hands on Bitok's head, controlling the position. Bitok is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bitok is fending him off so far but Buktot persists. Nope, Bitok circles away and we're back to standing. Bitok changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Buktot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bitok is controlling Buktot's trapped leg to prevent Buktot from advancing to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buktot controlling the action here. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dawindi Buktot. Well Buktot has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
