Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Montserrat Chai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grayson Sideris!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sideris tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chai counters with a right, a left and a big uppercut that drops Sideris to the mat! Chai runs to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. 3,4,5,6 and Sideris is back to his feet. He seems ready to continue - the ref agrees so we're back at it!
Chai jabs at Sideris's body.
Sideris misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Chai throws a quick inside leg kick.
A head kick misses from Chai.
Sideris throws a poor cross that misses
and Chai counters with a good low kick that Sideris was not able to check.
Sideris is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Chai just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Sideris has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Montserrat Chai!
