Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeMarcus Slice (ranked 5767 p4p, 3972 weight class) and Jake Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Berzerk by Eminem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeMarcus Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slice counters with a left and a right that stings Peterson.
Peterson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jake Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Peterson.
Slice shoots in for a takedown but Peterson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Slice pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Peterson throws a series of punches but Slice avoids them all with ease.
Slice tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peterson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slice somewhat.
Slice attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Slice looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peterson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Horrible takedown attempt by Slice or perhaps it was just good defense by Peterson, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeMarcus Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Peterson misses with a two punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slice closes the distance and clinches up with Peterson, looking for a takedown. Slice pushes Peterson against the cage but Peterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Peterson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Slice did well to prevent Peterson getting side control.

Peterson decides to stand and escape the position.
Slice fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Slice is breathing heavily.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Peterson. Slice shrugs it off though.
Peterson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Slice's guard.

Slice takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peterson moves into full mount!
Peterson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slice is looking to get to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Peterson lands a big shot there that rocks Slice but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Peterson has isolated one of Slice's arms. Slice looking to fight him off but Peterson twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
