Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oktawiusz Gogol (ranked 4178 p4p, 4032 weight class) and Trevon Boyle (ranked 445 p4p, 435 weight class). Gogol's entrance music is Molotov. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyle swinging wildly here.
Boyle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gogol eats them both and turns towards Boyle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Boyle throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Gogol scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Boyle throws a nice looking combination but Gogol bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Boyle tries to bum rush Gogol with a series of wild strikes but Gogol uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gogol shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gogol showed some decent athleticism there.

As Boyle looks to move away, Gogol throws a big counter combo but Boyle just gets out of the way.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gogol tries to move into full mount but can't pass Boyle's legs.

Gogol goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Boyle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gogol but great work by Boyle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Boyle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gogol counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Boyle wants to get back to his feet but Gogol is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gogol stands up and waves to Boyle to follow him.
Gogol avoids a punch combination nicely.

Boyle gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gogol slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gogol won't allow Boyle to get back to his feet.

Gogol gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Gogol throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boyle tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gogol is in Boyle's guard.

Gogol seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boyle for as long as he can get away with.
Oktawiusz Gogol overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gogol has control of Boyle's left arm, preventing Boyle from doing any damage.
Gogol wants to hit a sweep here but Boyle passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gogol there!

Gogol is desperately trying to improve his position but Boyle has a good base and remains in mount.
Boyle looking to control but Gogol is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Boyle is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gogol looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oktawiusz Gogol.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
