Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lanion Mauricio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elian Ibarra! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mauricio is looking to clinch but Ibarra is avoiding it.
Ibarra stuffs the takedown attempt from Mauricio. Mauricio gets slowly back to his feet. Ibarra stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ibarra wants it to stay on the feet. Ibarra lands with a nice combination. Mauricio backs away looking to recover. Ibarra explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Mauricio tries to clinch up. Ibarra keeps the fight on the outside. Ibarra dodges the punch combination from Mauricio.
Mauricio throws a lazy head kick and Ibarra counters with a head kick that drops Mauricio to the mat! Mauricio scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Mauricio is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ibarra scores with a leg kick.
Mauricio tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ibarra defends well and Mauricio ends up having to push Ibarra into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lanion Mauricio. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ibarra lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Lanion Mauricio has been cut. Knees to the body from Ibarra.
Ibarra connects with a nasty looking knee right to Mauricio's face.
Oh Mauricio is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mauricio seems to have got his legs back now. Ibarra breaks the clinch.
Ibarra tests Mauricio's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ibarra drops Mauricio with a beautiful combination! Mauricio stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ibarra is looking for the KO! Elian Ibarra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ibarra drops Mauricio with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Mauricio! Ibarra dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
