Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bo Brands!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Braun Westen!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brands with a lazy takedown attempt
and Westen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Westen fakes the leg kick and cracks Brands in the body.
Westen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

enabling Westen to counter with a crisp jab.
Westen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Westen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
