Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taistelu Jaska (ranked 1886 p4p, 3594 weight class) and Kova Luu (ranked 65 p4p, 149 weight class). Jaska comes to the cage accompanied by Taistelu Jaska Theme from youtube. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taistelu Jaska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kova Luu!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luu misses with a combination
and Jaska counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jaska stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luu tries to kick Jaska off but Jaska keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jaska missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luu is trying to get back to full guard.
Jaska seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Luu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Luu has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jaska is on him like a limpet, forcing Luu back against the cage.
Jaska will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Luu up against the cage.
Jaska tries to pull guard but Luu won't allow it.
Luu tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Jaska is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Luu gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jaska jumps guard and drags Luu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Luu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Luu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Luu gets to his feet - Jaska follows without any prompting.

A thudding body kick lands there by Luu!
Jaska shoots in and drives through. Luu sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taistelu Jaska. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luu lands a jab to Jaska's midsection.
Jaska is breathing heavily.
Luu lands a head kick. Jaska smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Taistelu Jaska has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jaska clinches up against the cage.
Luu lands a knee to the body.
Jaska takes a knee right on the jaw!
Jaska takes an elbow to the forehead.

Luu unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jaska lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Jaska is rocked!
Luu lands a good knee to the midsection. Jaska won't want to take too many of those.
Oh Jaska is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Luu using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jaska has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jaska seems to have got his legs back now.
Luu has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Jaska seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Luu can turn it around.

Luu lands a shot to the body.
Jaska creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Luu pushes Jaska back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Luu lands a good knee to the midsection. Jaska won't want to take too many of those.

Luu drops Jaska with a big knee straight up the middle! Jaska is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A head kick by Luu - that's a beauty! Jaska is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Luu can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kova Luu!
Taistelu Jaska was interviewed post fight and said 'Well.. atleast I have h*es.'.
