Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Milton Goodman (ranked 3795 p4p, 3443 weight class) and Miksa Magyar (ranked 234 p4p, 218 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Miksa Magyar enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milton Goodman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miksa Magyar!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magyar needs to keep his hands up - Goodman had a free shot at his head there.
Magyar doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Goodman counters with a stiff right hand.
Goodman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Magyar tries to counter by closing the distance.
Goodman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goodman wants it to stay on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Goodman enables Magyar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Goodman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Goodman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magyar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Goodman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Magyar on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Magyar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Magyar shoots in looking for a takedown. Goodman tries to sprawl out of it but Magyar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goodman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Magyar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Magyar has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
