Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyoshi Sun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sun throws a hook but Jackson blocks it.
Jackson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Sun fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jackson, pushing him back against the cage.
Sun lands with a right to the head.
Sun keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sun makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Sun won't allow it.
Sun lands a right hand.

Sun breaks the clinch.
Sun ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sun misses with a series of wild punches.
Kyoshi Sun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sun loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch.
Jackson feints the counter takedown.
Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sun throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.
Jackson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sun misses with a wild body shot.

Sun clinches.
Sun tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jackson's elbow.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jackson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Sun scores with a nice hook to the head.
Sun lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sun pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jackson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jackson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sun gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyoshi Sun!
