Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 611 p4p, 731 weight class) and Jackson Davis (ranked 48 p4p, 60 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 50 - 47 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Davis!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis lands with an overhand left.
Davis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chugman.

Davis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chugman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Chugman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Davis postures up.
Davis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Chugman keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.

Davis wants to take a breather but Chugman is having none of it.

Chugman is looking to control Davis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chugman avoid being mounted?
Davis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Davis cracks Chugman with a solid left hand.
Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davis trying to control but Chugman is working from the bottom.
Chugman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Davis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chugman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Davis wants to control from the top but Chugman keeps moving.
Davis works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Davis not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Chugman is not content to let Davis control the position.
Davis tries to pass to full mount but Chugman defends it.
Davis throwing shots but Chugman is blocking nicely.
Davis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Chugman is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Davis wants to pass to mount but Chugman is defending the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Davis is still trying to improve position.
Davis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chugman's head.
Davis trying to control the action but Chugman is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chugman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Davis lands an overhand right.
Chugman takes one to the chin there.
Nice shot lands for Davis.
Chugman defending well as Davis loads up on a big left hand.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chugman as he jumps to the side.
Davis misses with a hook.
Chugman throws a body punch but Davis moves out of range.
Davis thuds his right hand into Chugman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Chugman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chugman is one step ahead there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Davis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Davis dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Chugman moves out of range as Davis strikes.
Davis scores with a hook.
Jackson Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chugman momentarily.
Davis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Davis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Davis throws a low kick but Chugman avoids it.
Chugman attempts a counter takedown but Davis avoids it well and moves away.
Davis scores with a jab to the body.
Chugman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Davis throws a lazy right hand but Chugman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chugman lands with a hook. Davis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis digs a good body shot into Chugman's ribs.

Chugman has Davis up against the cage in a clinch.

Chugman misses with an uppercut.
Davis throws out a counter right but Chugman avoids it with no problem.

Davis throws a big shot that misses.
Davis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chugman under the eye.
A nice inside leg kick there by Davis. That's going to slow Chugman down.
Chugman looks to throw the jab but Davis is out of range.
Chugman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Chugman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Davis sprawls and moves away.
Davis throws the left hand but Chugman avoids the punch easily.
Chugman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Chugman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chugman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davis.
Chugman slips a straight right by Davis.
Davis misses with a looping right.
Chugman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

and Chugman counters with a shoot takedown. Davis fights it but they end up in guard.

Chugman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Davis keeping moving, preventing Chugman from controlling successfully.

Davis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chugman stays in close to Davis's body and controls the position.

Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Chugman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Davis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Chugman dives into side control.
Davis is looking for a sweep.
Davis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Chugman is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chugman looking to finish Davis with some ground and pound. This is bad for Davis!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Davis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Davis working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Chugman's thigh. Chugman counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Davis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Davis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chugman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Davis off and has taken his back!
Davis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Chugman's guard. Nice work there by Davis.
Davis is working Chugman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Davis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Chugman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Davis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chugman manages to get himself to full guard.


Chugman is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Davis has his hands clasped together but Chugman extends and breaks Davis's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Chugman.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Klaus Chugman!
Klaus Chugman gave a mention to Brooklyn Apothecary in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
